Kiefer Sherwood Drove Play Better Than Any Shark And Finished Minus Eight
Kiefer Sherwood played 28 games for San Jose after the January trade and posted a plus 7.8 relative shot-attempt share, the best of the 26 Sharks skaters who dressed at least twenty games, alongside a 95.0 PDO, the worst of the same 26. Hockey Reference's expected plus/minus put him at minus 0.3. The scoreboard put him at minus 8. He turned 31 in March, he is in year one of five at $5,750,000 with a full no-trade clause this season, and the deployment question is whether the special teams find him after San Jose used him 1:08 a night on the power play and 34 seconds a night on the kill.
