The 49ers promoted defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez from the practice squad to the active roster and waived Viliami Fehoko Jr. on Saturday. Matthew Judon and Malik Turner were elevated for Sunday's game against Denver. With Nick Bosa and James Thompson Jr. ruled out, nine defensive linemen are available, Judon included.
Shanahan has lost six of his ten defensive linemen. Arizona gets the rest.

The 49ers kept Nick Bosa on the 53-man roster on Saturday and placed receiver Demarcus Robinson on injured reserve. Defensive lineman Viliami Fehoko Jr. was promoted from the practice squad into Robinson's spot, and defensive linemen Kevin Givens and Sebastian Valdez were elevated for Sunday's game against Arizona. Matt Judon was among four free agents who worked out for the club. Brandin Cooks was not elevated, and Jordan Watkins is expected to make his season debut.
