Every call on this site goes on a public ledger and gets graded. The misses stay up.
Ivar Stenberg, in San Jose's teal home sweater, skates past the bench for fist bumps after a goal against the Los Angeles Kings' rookies at the 2026 Rookie Faceoff in San Jose on Sept. 12, 2026, with a Kings player in white behind him.

Joshua Ravensbergen, the No. 7 prospect and a Michigan State freshman, stopped 71 of 73 shots in two starts at New Hampshire. He lost 1-0 and won 2-1, a .973 save percentage for the weekend.

That is the prospect of the week, and it is two games. His whole college season is four starts: 112 saves on 117 shots, .957, through October 26.

Ivar Stenberg, the No. 1 prospect, had three points in three games, one of them an empty-net goal at Ottawa. He was third at Montreal, eighth at Ottawa and fourth at Boston in total ice time, which counts the power play, among the twelve San Jose forwards who dressed each night.

All thirty ranks held on the prospect board for October 20 through October 26. Cole McKinney has eight points in seven games and stays No. 15 behind Mattias Havelid until his season is eight games old; Michigan played once this week. Luca Cagnoni holds at No. 5 after being scratched for all three San Jose games.

Five Sharks Prospects Are Enrolled In College, Which Costs Them The Rookie Faceoff San Jose Is Hosting

San Jose hosts the Rookie Faceoff from September 12 to 15 at Tech CU Arena and Sharks Ice, playing Los Angeles on the 12th and Utah on the 13th, and five of its draft picks are barred from it because they are enrolled college players: Keaton Verhoeff at North Dakota, Ryan Lin at Denver, Haoxi Wang at Boston University, Joshua Ravensbergen at Michigan State and Cole McKinney at Michigan. College Hockey Inc's eligibility rules allow a student-athlete to attend an NHL development camp and forbid him from playing in a rookie tournament. Four of the five came out of major junior and are in college only because the NCAA changed the rule in 2024. One take filed.
