October 6 to 12, 2026 · Sharks

Who is on it: every Sharks prospect still eligible for the Calder Trophy: no more than 25 NHL games in any prior season, not 6 or more in each of two prior seasons, and not yet 26 on September 15. 2026-27 counts this season's games; the shaded row is the week; exhibitions are named and not counted. HAND-PULLED: a person read the line off a box score, not a data feed. Not read: we could not open that league's games this week, which is never evidence the player sat out.

Prospect of the week

Cole McKinney, No. 15. Three goals and two assists in Michigan's two wins over Alaska-Anchorage, two of each on October 9 alone: 2 GP, 3 G, 2 A, 5 P, ten shots.

The most ice time of any UMass-Lowell skater in both games: 24:17 in a 2-3 loss to Clarkson on October 9 and 26:34 in a 4-2 win over St. Lawrence on October 10. Two shots.

What moved, and why

Luca Cagnoni moves up to No. 5 and Quentin Musty down to No. 6. Cagnoni has five NHL games at 19:37 a game; Musty has been injured since September 17 and has not played. McKinney has the week, five points in two games, but both came against Alaska-Anchorage, which lost them 10-1 and 7-2, in a season four games old. That is too few to move him past Mattias Havelid and Simon Wang. Ivar Stenberg went from seventh and ninth of twelve San Jose forwards in ice time to fourth in both games; he is already No. 1.

Where the roster went

Two are with San Jose: Stenberg and Cagnoni. Six are with the Barracuda: Pohlkamp, Bystedt, Sahlin Wallenius, Wetsch and Gasseau played both games; Havelid played one. Musty and Lund are injured and on neither roster. Thirteen are in college: eight played games that count, four had only an exhibition, and Harvard did not play. Seven are in junior or Europe: four played; the three in Russia we could not read.

Who is not on this board, and why

Ethan Cardwell played six NHL games in 2024-25 and seven in 2025-26, six or more in each of two seasons. Igor Chernyshov played 28 in 2025-26 and Michael Misa 45, both over the 25-game limit.

Sources

League data from the NHL, the AHL, the OHL, the WHL and Finland's Liiga. Every college line is hand-pulled from College Hockey News box scores, and from Boston University's own box score for its exhibition. The two Russian season lines come from the NHL's player records. We could not read the MHL, KHL or VHL game by game.
