The 49ers released Ogbo Okoronkwo to make room for Mykel Williams
Kyle Shanahan said Williams comes off the physically unable to perform list Saturday and will be \"full go\" at Seattle. Upton Stout missed Friday's practice and is questionable. Mike Evans carries no designation.

The 49ers released defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo on Friday, the club announced at 12:30 p.m. The active roster now holds 52. Kyle Shanahan said Mykel Williams comes off the physically unable to perform list on Saturday to fill the spot, per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area and David Bonilla of 49ers Webzone. Maiocco reports Okoronkwo could be signed back to the practice squad Saturday.
- Williams is set to play Sunday. He is listed as questionable. He was limited Wednesday and Thursday and full Friday, per the club's report. "When he's out there, he'll be full go," Shanahan said. "We rotate our guys, and understand it's his first game, but we gotta see how it goes." Williams has not played since Nov. 2, when he tore an ACL against the Giants, per Maiocco.
- Shanahan on how he looks. "Yeah, lost weight, in a good way," he said, per Bonilla. "I don't know if he lost weight, but he's leaner." To Maiocco, on 49ers Game Plan: "He has looked awesome in these two weeks of practice, to where he does look like the same guy."
- What Okoronkwo was. The club's release credits him with four games, one start, two tackles and one sack this season. He was promoted from the practice squad on Sept. 19, when De'Zhaun Stribling went to injured reserve.
- Stout is the open question. The rookie corner was limited Thursday and did not practice Friday, per the club's report. Nick Wagoner of ESPN did not see him during the portion open to reporters. Shanahan said no when asked whether Stout had a setback Thursday, per Kyle Posey of Niners Nation. He is questionable with the shoulder he hurt against Denver.
- Evans is not on the list. Mike Evans (ribs) was limited Wednesday, did not practice Thursday and was limited Friday, per the club's report. Wagoner saw him in uniform for the open portion. No game designation means he is expected to play.
- Four out. Nick Bosa (knee, calf), Kyle Juszczyk (knee), Marques Sigle (ankle) and James Thompson Jr. (ankle) did not practice all week and are ruled out. Sunday will be the third straight game Bosa misses.
- Bosa's own timeline. Posey reports that Matt Barrows of The Athletic posted Friday afternoon that Bosa believes he can play at Atlanta in Week 7, and perhaps against Washington in Week 6. The bye is Week 8. Shanahan told KNBR on Thursday he would like Bosa back before it.
- Juszczyk. An MRI showed a sprain and a bone bruise, and he is expected to miss two to three weeks, per Vince Lontz of NBC Sports Bay Area.
- Full participants. Kaelon Black (illness), Jaden Dugger (shoulder), Dre Greenlaw, Romello Height (hand), Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams were full Thursday and Friday. All six carry no designation.
- Seattle's side. The Seahawks ruled out running back Zach Charbonnet (knee), corner Julian Neal (hamstring) and linebacker Chazz Surratt (calf). Receiver Irvin Charles (knee) and running back George Holani (ribs, knee) are questionable. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams (ankle) did not practice Thursday and was full Friday, with no designation.
- The roster after Saturday. Williams makes 53. The PUP list drops to one, Isaac Guerendo.
