Michigan Has Not Lost A Single Player To Basketball This Summer
Michigan Athletics announced at 12:45 p.m. Eastern on September 1 that freshman guard Brandon McCoy Jr. will miss the 2026-27 season with an ACL injury to his right knee, with no surgery date, no timetable and no word on his eligibility. McCoy is the sixth player off Michigan's roster since June 23. Three went in the first round of the NBA draft, one entered the transfer portal, one had his fifth season stayed by the Tenth Circuit, and one slipped in Montenegro. Only L.J. Cason made the decision himself.
